parkrun organise free, weekly, timed 5km runs (can be walks!) around the world. They are open to everyone, free, and are safe and easy to take part in. All you need to take part is a pair of trainers and a barcode. Find out more at http://www.parkrun.org.uk/

I have completed a tour of all the Northern Ireland parkruns (I think that makes me a parkrun Regionnaire!) and look forward to getting round them all again in the near future. I'm also guilty of planning week-end breaks and holidays around parkrun opportunities but there are definitely worse addictions to have!
This gallery contains photos from all the parkruns visited to date.

My home town but possibly my least favourite parkrun due to its narrow paths & cross overs. Its a 3-lap course too!

My very first parkrun in 2012 was here and I was delighted to run my 100th here in April 2018. It's still one of my favourites!

The home of parkrun, this is where it all began. We arrived late the first time we went so had to go again! A super single lap on grass, hoggin path and trail complete with a pond and wild deer. Beautiful and a good one for a PB .... as long as you get in front of the crowds!!

The first beach parkrun in the world run entirely on the sand. An out-and- back course following the beach along a stunning scenic coast line. Somewhat unfortunate that we were there at high tide, thereby having to run on soft sand. Check the tide if you're going! :-D
